2025 Volkswagen Tiguan Gets A New Look & More Capabilities

The newest generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan is revealed for Europe but the U.S. will get a new 2025 Tiguan model as well. This will be the third generation of this compact crossover SUV that comes with up-to-date tech features, a new plug-in hybrid powertrain, and more trunk space. The new Tiguan is a little longer than the previous model and is built on the VW Group’s MQB platform. North American models will most likely be a long-wheelbase alternative and come with a few differences for the exterior and interior.
As for the Euro-spec version, it comes with gas, turbo-diesel, and plug-in-hybrid options. It’s expected that the U.S. model will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine and a plug-in hybrid as well. Some of the competitors to the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan are the Toyota RAV4 and the Hyundai Tucson.
A few of the new features that come with the 2025 Tiguan are massaging seats, a 15.0-inch touchscreen, adaptive dampers, and a head-up display. More information on the all-new 2025 VW Tiguan should come soon and the U.S. model should go on sale sometime in 2024. The European version is set to go on sale as early as next year, so stay tuned.
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan
With so many SUVs coming out, it may seem complicated to be in the spotlight, but that isn’t the case for the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan. For the S trim, there is the VW’s IQ.DRIVE system, adaptive cruise control, and lane-centering capabilities. New features for the base S trim are rain-sensing window wipers, automatic high beam headlamps, fake leather for the steering wheel, and wireless charging.
Under the hood of the 2024 Tiguan, there will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 184 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 model gets 24 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. All models come with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The base S trim has a 6.5-inch touchscreen, but the higher-end trims have an 8.0-inch screen.
Volkswagen ID.Tiguan
Volkswagen is releasing an electric version of the popular SUV, the Tiguan, which will supposedly be called the ID.Tiguan. A few announcements were made about a new electric model built on the main platform, destined to debut in 2026. Rumors have circulated that it will be the same size and look as the popular Tiguan and this new electric SUV will be based on Volkswagen’s MEB-Plus platform. Before the ID.Tiguan was announced, there were hints that Volkswagen had remade the ID.2 look and could be made into the ID.Golf. It’s been known to VW that consumers want the Golf, GTI, and Tiguan vehicles to become electric, and that is exactly what the Volkswagen brand intends to do.
