Introducing The New & Improved Volkswagen ID.Buzz GTX

Volkswagen has exciting news about the ID.Buzz, a faster GTX modification, was added to this electric minivan. The ID.Buzz GTX will have a dual-motor AWD powertrain, making this EV the most powerful model for the ID lineup. Here is what Volkswagen’s R&D boss had to say about the GTX model and what it has to offer:
“The GTX will be a cool high-performance version, with 250 kW, a dedicated interior, new exterior colors and some additional features.” -Kai Gruenitz.
That will be equal to 335 horsepower, which gives an additional 40 horsepower to the ID.Buzz GTX. There isn’t an exact amount of torque and dual-motor AWD powertrain it produces, but it should be around 339 pound-feet accessible for the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX. The ID.Buzz GTX will share the dual-motor AWD system with other electric vehicles in the ID lineup.
Another vehicle coming this summer in Europe offers more room and will have a three-seat bench for the third row; this is all for the ID.Buzz LWB. Another exciting announcement is that the ID.Buzz California will be showcased sometime in 2025. With all these exciting new updates for the ID.Buzz GTX, it’s no wonder this vehicle is a fan favorite.
More Info On The ID.Buzz
If the 2024 Volkswagen ID. Buzz looks familiar, it is because the design of this new electric vehicle is based on the iconic Type 2 Microbus, which inspired the retro design. The VW ID. Buzz had sold out in Europe months before customer deliveries were supposed to happen. There were 10,000 cars made, and Norway grabbed 3,400 of them. German buyers got 2,500 vans, and Belgium and the Netherlands received 2,100 vans between them. The U.K. will receive the electric vehicle sometime in early 2023, but the U.S. will have to wait until early 2024. Having these vans grabbed up so quickly shows how much of a hot commodity they are.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX
An exciting vehicle coming out is the Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX which joins the VW electric vehicle lineup. There will eventually be more GTX models coming out soon, and an incredible perk of this is that there will be a GTX symbol on the bottom of the steering wheel with red accents around it. Other electric vehicles in the GTX lineup are the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX.
Volkswagen has stated that all EVs will get the GTX treatment, including the ID.3 GTX. There are a few changes that come with the ID. Buzz GTX includes new lights, bumpers, wheels, and a sportier exterior look. Further features include a gloss black GTX logo and 20-inch wheels with maybe an option to go a little bigger. The GTX logo will be featured outside the SUV, on the steering wheel, and on the seats’ backrests to give it a sportier look.
