Volkswagen GTI Concept

A new electric Volkswagen vehicle is coming which will be a battery-powered GTI model. The new GTI model seems to be confirmed but there isn’t much information to go on because it’s still a few years away from production. As for the ID.GTI concept, it will be similar to the ID.2all concept which only uses a single electric motor. Volkswagen also shared that the ninth-generation Golf EV should arrive by 2028. The Volkswagen brand has yet to announce the specific price for the new electric GTI but the gas-powered Golf GTI starts at $33,190 (plus destination fee) so it’s expected that the electric GTI will be around that price.

Electric Volkswagen ID.GTI

Volkswagen recently received its next fully-electric car, introducing the ID.GTI, but the automaker has yet to mention anything about it coming to the United States. The ID.GTI is a similar model to the ID.2 that was showcased earlier this year, and they even were made on the same MEB Entry platform. There is still a lot left to learn about this new Volkswagen car, but it’s predicted that it will use the bigger two ID.2 battery packs to support quicker charging.

What is known is that the ID.GTI will be smaller than the current GTI and be more similar in size to the European Polo than the current Golf model. The hope is that eventually, the Volkswagen ID.GTI Concept will come to America, but it’s only European-based. As for the ID.2, it will go on sale in Europe in 2026, with the GTI following behind the following year.

2026 Volkswagen Golf GTI EV

Volkswagen is working hard to produce a new car to enter the EV world, the Golf GTI EV, which will be in its eighth generation. A big goal for the latest Golf GTI EV model is to offer an easy and fun way to drive the vehicle. The Volkswagen Golf GTI EV will be made on the MEB 21 EV platform and produce 320 horsepower with the new APP550 motor, like the ID.7 sedan. The all-new Volkswagen Golf GTI EV will cost around $40,000 (plus destination fee) and is expected to go on sale in 2026.

Volkswagen Vehicles Physical Buttons

Volkswagen is ready to focus on making its lineup all-electric for a lot of its markets. As new EVs come out, a lot of interior designs are simplified and something that tends to go are the physical buttons, replaced by touchscreen controls. On the other hand, Volkswagen consumers don’t like this and are fighting to bring the physical knobs back–the Volkswagen brand has listened.

The Volkswagen electric vehicle that will debut with physical knobs once again is the new ID.2all concept. In the new ID.2all concept, there will be physical buttons below the touchscreen for easy access and consumers are thrilled. In the end, Volkswagen took the customer feedback very seriously and did what they had to do to bring physical buttons back.

Volkswagen ID.2all

Volkswagen recently showcased the interior of the ID.2all concept vehicle which also offers a lot of storage space. The all-new electric car will cost around $27,000 (plus destination fee) and will ride on the MEB Entry platform. A big change is the size of the new ID.2all because of how it will be roomy like the VW Golf model but affordable like the VW Polo. As for the infotainment system, it is modern and comes with physical separate volume controls. To dive further into the storage space, the seats can even fold flat to help give this smaller EV more storage space.
