New Exit Warning System Comes To Certain Volkswagen Vehicles
A brand new exiting system comes to a few different Volkswagen vehicles to make it a safer way to enter or exit a car and for anyone surrounding the car. The exit warning system searches the area around the Volkswagen vehicle to report to the passengers any danger before the door handle is used. The new ID.7 comes with this great feature and the system remains active for three minutes after the car has been parked to ensure it’s safe to exit the vehicle.
The new exit warning system is also in the new Volkswagen Passat and new Tiguan which operates in a very similar way to the ID.7 model. The only thing this exit system doesn’t have for the Tiguan and Passat is the door opening delay feature that the ID.7 offers. Two other new vehicles that have the exit warning system are the ID.4 and ID.5 which works almost the same way as the ID.7. The very first Volkswagen that came equipped with the exit warning system was the most recent Golf and has a similar layout as the ID.4 and ID.5 models.

It is common knowledge at this point that electric vehicles are the future of the automotive industry. Volkswagen is one of the first big-name car brands to grasp this concept by releasing the ID.4 electric SUV and ID.Buzz electric minivan. More electric vehicles have been added to the ID lineup recently, and now Volkswagen is ready to debut its next flagship electric car. The new ID.7 will be available in 2024 and will be powered by one electric motor producing 282 horsepower and getting 0-60 mph in 5 seconds.
The ID.7 does a great job of giving the vehicle a fresh and sleek new design to make it look different from the ID.4. Feeling comfortable driving in the ID.7 is no problem because of its spaciousness. This is possible because the EV is a mix between a hatchback and a sedan, making the cargo space 18.3 cubic feet, and when the seats are folded down, the area grows to 47.8 cubic feet. This EV seats up to five passengers and gives passengers lots of head space.
Every control a driver needs is on the 15-inch screen in the center of the dashboard and has a heads-up display that shows up on the windshield. The seats are adjustable in 14 ways and provide cooling and heating features. Another nice thing is that the panoramic sunroof can turn the glass hazy with the click of a button.
The ID.7 offers two battery options: a 77.0 kWh battery that provides 382 miles of range and an 86.0 kWh battery that offers 435 miles of range. Every ID.7 will be built on the MEB platform and offers fast charging speeds; the ID.7 can be fully charged in 8 hours. The EV is powered by a single-motor rear-wheel drive system that gets 282 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque.
The Volkswagen ID.7 will cost around $55,000 (plus the destination fee) and come in four different trim levels. If customers like the Volkswagen Arteon, they will love the ID.7. The new ID.7 will be a little different from the Arteon because of its electric motor, and the interior will be made from recycled parts.
