2023 Volkswagen Arteon

A new midsize sedan in town comes with more horsepower, a bigger engine, to date features, and the 2023 Volkswagen Arteon. Some new features include LED headlights, front fog lights, a light bar, a heated steering wheel, plus so much more. The highest trim level is the SEL Premium R-Line, and it comes with 20-inch wheels, black trim interior, and surrounding lighting features with 30 different color choices.

Trim Levels & Pricing

  • SE R-Line costs $43,010 (plus destination fee).
  • SEL R-Line costs $47,180 (plus destination fee).
  • SEL Premium R-Line costs $50,175 (plus destination fee).

Under the hood, a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. There is an option for front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, and both come with a 7-speed automatic transmission. All trim levels for the 2023 Arteon have a sleek, stylish, and sporty exterior design, so no matter which trim level is chosen, there will be no disappointment. As for the trunk, there are 27.2 cubic feet of storage space, and when the backseats are folded down, that space grows to 56.2 cubic feet. Across all Arteon trims, wireless app-connect, wireless charging, and an 8-speaker sound system are standard.

Another Similar Model

A hatchback vehicle that remains a fan favorite is the Volkswagen Golf, which is a top-selling car. The Volkswagen Golf has been a top choice since 1974, and consumers can choose from a few different models. Other hatchbacks have a hard time competing against the Golf vehicles, and to prove that, the VW Golf won “Car of the Year” in 2009 and 2013. The Golf was initially made to replace the Beetle, but instead, Volkswagen automakers produced a vehicle with a standard front-wheel-drive and front engine that can be water-cooled over air-cooled.

The exterior look of the Golf is simple and sporty but still has a very distinct design, with an affordable price and impressive capabilities. A 2022 VW Golf base level has a 2-liter four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower. It can reach 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and has proven over and over again how impressive its performance is.

Special Edition Golf

Volkswagen recently announced a brand new Golf R special edition to honor the 20th anniversary of the first-ever R32’s European launch. This unique anniversary edition model comes equipped with shiny black 19-inch Estori wheels, contrasting mirror caps, lights that project “20 R” onto the ground, blue R badges, and last but certainly not least, a one-of-a-kind 20th Anniversary badge on the B pillar. The Golf “R” also has all-wheel drive and an adaptive damping system. Only Europe will get certain trims that won’t be offered in the US, but the Golf R 20th anniversary edition is still too good to pass up.

The color choices for this vehicle range from Lapiz Blue, Deep Black Pearl, and Pure White. The special edition models sold in black and white will get blue mirror caps, and the blue units will feature black mirror caps. The interior has an “R” logo on the bottom of the steering wheel and a carbon-fiber trim on the door panel and the dash. The steering wheel and key are refinished in blue, and the key fob has an “R” logo. There are a few “R” logos spread throughout the car. There is one on the front and rear bumpers and the front fenders. To the steering wheel’s right is a 10.0 touchscreen in the dashboard’s center. It comes with touch-sensitive sliders with no physical knobs or buttons.

More features include travel assist, adaptive cruise control, active blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert, front assist, emergency assist (automatic transmission only), and lane assist. Another safety feature includes a wide lens whenever the driver needs help backing up and avoiding obstacles.
