Volkswagen ID.Buzz GTX

Sometime in October 2022, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles gave a little glimpse of the new ID.Buzz GTX. Recently, a few details have been released, and the electric minivan will have 250 kilowatts and can get 335 horsepower. It has been confirmed that the zero-emission minivan will have dual motors and all-wheel drive. There will be three rows with seven seats, and they will have moveable captain’s chairs. Even more exciting news from Volkswagen is that more electric cars will be added, including the ID.7 and the ID.3 GTX.

More Info On GTX Models

There will eventually be more GTX models coming out soon, and an incredible perk of this is that there will be a GTX symbol on the bottom of the steering wheel with red accents around it. Other electric vehicles in the GTX lineup are the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX. With GTX in the name, it has dual electric motors, which help provide the SUVs with all-wheel drive and a combined output of 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet.

There are a few changes that come with the ID. Buzz GTX includes new lights, bumpers, wheels, and a sportier exterior look. Further features include a gloss black GTX logo and 20-inch wheels with maybe an option to go a little bigger. The GTX logo will be featured outside the SUV, on the steering wheel, and on the seats’ backrests to give it a sportier look.

Volkswagen ID.Buzz

If the 2024 Volkswagen ID. Buzz looks familiar, that is because the design of this new electric vehicle is based on the iconic Type 2 Microbus, which inspired the retro design. The VW ID. Buzz had sold out in Europe months before customer deliveries were supposed to happen. The U.K. will receive the electric vehicle sometime in early 2023, but the U.S. will have to wait until early 2024. Having these vans grabbed up quickly shows how much of a hot commodity they are. The cars are expected to be delivered in October (2023) in mainland Europe.

Volkswagen plans to build 15,000 ID. Buzz vans this year. Next year it will be up to 60,000 and then 130,000 later on. What this means for this retro van is that it won’t be sold out for long. The plan for this van is to go on sale in the U.S. in 2024. Here are some exterior colors for the new SUV: Lime Yellow/Candy White and Starlight Blue/Candy White.

Another great perk of this vehicle is the storage space which offers up to 40 cubic feet. This proves how spacious the vehicle is for the whole family. The expected starting rate for this E.V. van is around $40,000 (plus destination fee). The van will be able to charge its battery from 5-80 percent in 30 minutes. The company plans to introduce a plug-and-charge technology that eliminates the need to use an app or a card for payment to unlock the charger.
