Volkswagen ID.4 EV

On November 1, 2022, at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, the Volkswagen ID.4 was named the first-ever “Electric Vehicle of the Year.” This is a tremendous honor for the Volkswagen ID.4 and is very well deserved. The ID.4 is an electric compact crossover SUV with many updated and improved features. Here is what the senior vice president of Volkswagen had to say about winning this award:

“We are thrilled to win the SEMA Award for Electric Vehicle of the Year. Volkswagen is committed to bringing e-mobility to the masses, and as our ID.4 concepts show, EVs can be equipped to suit a wide variety of lifestyle needs.” -Hein Schafer

It is no surprise that the ID.4 won this fantastic award because it provides an excellent platform for customization, can tackle various terrain and is a leading example of endless possibilities in the electric vehicle industry. Another reason the ID.4 was chosen to win this award was that it was a popular car among consumers and had a high option for accessorizing. During the 2023 model year, Volkswagen will make the ID.4 all-electric SUV in the company’s plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

“The Volkswagen ID.4 is a well-deserved winner of the first-ever SEMA Award for Electric Vehicle of the Year. Electric Vehicles are an important segment in our industry, and the ID.4 is a great example of how these vehicles can be customized. We thank Volkswagen for their collaboration with the aftermarket, so manufacturers are able to bring a variety of customization options for the ID.4 to consumers.” -Mike Spagnola, SEMA CEO
