Another EV Is Coming: Introducing The 2024 Volkswagen ID.5

Stakes are high for every automotive group that is entering the EV game because the toughest competitor out there is Tesla. The Volkswagen brand is up for the challenge and continues to announce new ID electric vehicles that are coming shortly. An already popular EV for Volkswagen, is the ID.4 and customers are snatching it up, so Volkswagen is getting ready to announce another ID model to the world. The newest car model hasn’t come to the U.S. yet but it will be released in Europe first.
A big change coming to the 2024 Volkswagen ID.5 is getting a larger 77.0-kWh battery while the touchscreen grows to 12.9-inches. The screen comes with updated software and the interior still has a spacious cabin for passengers. Overall, a lot of key features from the other ID models will carry over to the 2024 ID.5 which is a big plus and customers are beyond excited.
2024 Volkswagen ID.4
Major updates come to the 2024 Volkswagen ID.4 interior, including more power and a better infotainment setup. The power increases are due to new motors from the ID.7 model; the most significant difference is the rear-wheel drive for the ID.4 car models. To prove this, the horsepower goes from 201 to 282, and the all-wheel-drive goes from 295 to 330 horsepower.
As for the infotainment, the upgrades also come from the ID.7 and improve the ID.4 immensely. It’s better customizable, the climate menu is easier to use, and the screen is now 12.9 inches with lit-up slider touch buttons. The new and improved Volkswagen ID.4 will be hitting dealerships soon and will be eligible for full federal tax credits, which is a significant plus for car buyers.
Volkswagen ID.7
It is common knowledge at this point that electric vehicles are the future of the automotive industry. Volkswagen is one of the first big-name car brands to grasp this concept by releasing the ID.4 electric SUV and ID.Buzz electric minivan. More electric vehicles have been added to the ID lineup recently, and now Volkswagen is ready to debut its next flagship electric car. The new ID.7 will be available in 2024 and will be powered by one electric motor producing 282 horsepower and getting 0-60 mph in 5 seconds.
This EV seats up to five passengers and gives passengers lots of head space. Every control a driver needs is on the 15-inch screen in the center of the dashboard and has a heads-up display that shows up on the windshield. The seats are adjustable in 14 ways and provide cooling and heating features. Another nice thing is that the panoramic sunroof can turn the glass hazy with the click of a button.
The ID.7 offers two battery options: a 77.0 kWh battery that provides 382 miles of range and an 86.0 kWh battery that offers 435 miles of range. Every ID.7 will be built on the MEB platform and offers fast charging speeds, the ID.7 can be fully charged in 8 hours. The EV is powered by a single-motor rear-wheel drive system that gets 282 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque.
The Volkswagen ID.7 will cost around $55,000 (plus the destination fee) and come in four different trim levels. If customers like the Volkswagen Arteon, they will love the ID.7. The new ID.7 will be a little different from the Arteon because of its electric motor, and the interior will be made from recycled parts.
