Longer Volkswagen ID. Buzz Version Coming To North America
Volkswagen is beyond ready to release the North American version of the all-electric ID. Buzz and show off its added additions. The new three-row design adds two extra seats plus a 91-kWh battery to help power this larger van. As for the interior, most things stay the same, which includes a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen.
The electric van will have eight USB-C ports so all passengers can charge their phones. The U.S. model has the biggest panoramic sunroof on any Volkswagen vehicle, which is 67.4 inches long. The North American ID. Buzz will hit local dealerships sometime in 2024 and will be an enjoyable ride for any fun adventure.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX
An exciting vehicle coming out is the Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX which joins the VW electric vehicle lineup. There will eventually be more GTX models coming out soon, and an incredible perk of this is that there will be a GTX symbol on the bottom of the steering wheel with red accents around it. Other electric vehicles in the GTX lineup are the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX. With GTX in the name, it has dual electric motors, which help provide the SUVs with all-wheel drive and a combined output of 295 horsepower and 339 pound-feet.
There is currently no say in whether the ID. Buzz GTX will get the same treatment, but it could happen. Volkswagen has stated that all EVs will get the GTX treatment, including the ID.3 GTX. There are a few changes that come with the ID. Buzz GTX includes new lights, bumpers, wheels, and a sportier exterior look. Further features include a gloss black GTX logo and 20-inch wheels with maybe an option to go a little bigger. The GTX logo will be featured outside the SUV, on the steering wheel, and on the seats’ backrests to give it a sportier look.
ID. Buzz Solar Panels
Recently, deliveries have started in Europe for the popular Volkswagen ID. Buzz. An announcement came from the German tuner ABT that there will be roof-mounted solar panels added to the electric van to improve driving range and power equipment. The solar panels will send 600 watts to the battery pack if the van is parked or driving.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz gets 204 horsepower and 258 miles of driving range. A cool thing about the solar panels is that they will help power camping equipment, lighting, and the sound system. ABT’s roof-mounted solar panel production should start sometime in the beginning of 2024. Currently, there is no set price on how much these solar panels will cost for this electric van, but customers sure are excited to put in an order when the time comes.
